When subscribing calendars to Apple devices, it can be done either directly to the device or via iCloud. The main difference is that when the subscription is done via iCloud, the subscription is automatically shared with all of the user's Apple devices. Usually this is just what the user wants.
On an iOS device (iPhone/iPad), it is not possible to subscribe via iCloud. All subscriptions done on an iOS device will be stored on that device only. Therefore it is recommended to subscribe using a Mac computer, and then the subscription is automatically shared with the iOS devices as well. Note that even if the subscription is done on a Mac and therefore shared with all of the user's devices, it is still possible to hide it from those devices where one does not want them.
If you still want to subscribe on the iOS device, please follow these instructions.
On the Calendars page, select a calendar you like and click Subscribe.
If you are not logged in to WebCal.Guru, the button will be labeled Download. You will not be able to modify subscription settings and you will have significantly smaller selection of calendars. In this case, jump directly to Step 4.
Adjust the subscription settings if needed and click Add to My Calendars.
You will be taken to
My calendars page. On the calendar you just added, click
Download.
You will be presented with a confirmation to subscribe the calendar. Tap Subscribe.
Alarms can be disabled either by having the iOS Calendar application remove them, or by disabling them at WebCal.Guru. This process shows how they are disabled from the subscription at WebCal.Guru. Note that disabling the alarms can be done with any device.
On the
Calendars page, select a calendar you wish disable enable alarms for and click
Edit.
Click on the tab Alarms and set both alarm settings to None.
Click Save. The new settings take effect the next time your application downloads the calendar data, usually within a couple days.
