How do I unsubscribe from a calendar (i.e. delete a calendar subscription)?

Open the macOS Calendar application.

If your calendar list is already visible on the left, please skip to to Step 3.

To show the list of calendars, select View Show Calendar List.

Once the list is visible, check that all the titles on the left are open. These titles can include iCloud, On My Mac, Google Calendar, Other etc.

To open a title, click beside the name. Note that the may not be visible before you move the pointer over that row.

Now that the panel is open, select a calendar you wish to remove.

If your calendar is listed under Google (or your Gmail address), please switch to removal instructions for Google Calendar.

Click the calendar to make sure it is selected.

If the calendar background is gray, it is not selected.

Right-click on the calendar and select Unsubscribe.

You're done. If you had problems, please take a look at the next two steps.

If you had problems in selecting Unsubscribe in Step 6, try to open the Edit menu and select Delete instead.

If you got an error message saying You can't change the events in the ... calendar, it means that you have not selected the calendar (see Step 5).

Please select the calendar (instead of an event inside the calendar) before trying to delete.
