There is no Delete Calendar button on the iPhone.

NOTE! This article is about a specific issue where the iPhone does not show a Delete Calendar button where the instructions say it should. Please first see the unsubscribe instructions for iPhone or other platforms.

Step 1

Attempt to Unsubscribe a calendar following the instructions.

There is no Delete Calendar button at the bottom of the screen.

Tap Cancel to get back to the calendar list.

Step 2

Here you see a list of your calendars.

The calendars under iCloud, such as US Federal Holidays are from WebCal.Guru and possibly other sources. They can be deleted by tapping the icon beside the calendar.

The calendars under Other, such as US Holidays, are from Apple and they can't be deleted. This is why you could not find the Delete Calendar button.

However, it is possible to hide those Apple calendars, which is practically the same as deleting them. Tap the icon beside the calendar to uncheck it. This hides the calendar and you'll no longer see it.

Note that you can also hide any other calendars this way, in case you want to keep them available, but not have them clutter your calendar view.
